The LifeSustainer™ 2000 is a sophisticated and advanced isolated organ perfusion system for the organs of large mammals, including human beings, with biomedical research and clinical applications. The LifeSustainer™ 2000 has multiple redundant microprocessors, state-of the-art hemodynamic sensing features and full capacity in monitoring and controlling capabilities.

The combination of our modern perfusion device and our new perfusate
will have significant impact to further extend the science of isolated organ perfusion and to further grow its demand in the bio-tech market. The simple icebox currently used to transport and preserve human organs in anticipation of transplant, is no longer a meaningful device to advance medical science. The viability of a human organ will no longer be evaluated according to or be reliant upon a surgeon’s touch or sense of smell. In contrast, scientific data and a series of indicators will be provided to the surgeon, which will precisely define the organ viability and condition. Biomedical researchers armed with Life System’s perfusion device and the latest perfusate technology will advance our understanding of organ function and metabolism. We will be able to extend the organ preservation period and enhance the pool of human organ donors by being able to assess the viability of donor organs from non-heart beating organ donors.
Currently, these organs are considered less desirable because we continue to transport organs in simple iceboxes and measure viability by feel and smell. With the advance of Life Systems’ perfusion technology as embodied in the LifeSustainer™ 2000, Life Systems Corp will be able to reduce the number of patients on transplant waiting lists by knowing how to treat a diseased organ and by increasing organ donor pools from non-heart beating organ donors.
